Here are some tips to consider when buying a digital camera
- Narrow down the type
of camera you are looking for by the features you expect for example fully
automatic or manual or is it a cross between the two
- If you are looking
for image quality consider buying a camera with the largest possible
sensor size as well as the highest number of pixels. (Note: SLR’S have
larger sensors than point and shoots or compacts also the larger
the sensor the more expensive the camera. Pixels make up the resolution of
a camera there are 1.000.000.000 pixels in a mega pixel)
- Consider what type of
lens you will need fixed lens’s are the best but most expensive, zoom
lenses are good if you want to stand away from your subject but of lesser
quality than fixed types
- Try your camera
before you buy it and regardless of its features and cost most places
should let you try it out in store. Consider the size of the camera the
layout of buttons its responsiveness and build quality.
- The memory card that
comes with your camera will probably be a 64mb you should consider buying a
256mb or greater if you are shooting 5mp or above.
